Volunteer to teach English in pre-schoolsnestled within Sri Lanka's traditional villages
Volunteers Teaching English at Pre Schools in traditional villages in Sri Lanka.
In many Sri Lankan Villages in most of the children the speaking ability of English is next to nil. But in cities very few Pre Schools with native English speaking teachers are operating which are impossible to attend children of economically disadvantage families. As a volunteer English teacher, you become a catalyst for development of less fortunate children coming from poor families.
Our teaching English for Pre School children will be takes place in traditional beautiful villages located far from developed cities. During your 2 to 12 week volunteering experience, you will help our literacy program in Sri Lankan Villages. Your work will contribute to an ongoing project to build better lives for children and opening up new opportunities for the next generation.
Quality education is lacking in many villages of the country and we work together with local communities and with village preschools to try and create better, more accessible learning for kids of all ages. For volunteers to truly succeed and make a difference, it’s important to have a positive, proactive attitude this program is extremely hands on and a little willingness to help will go a long way.
Your time here will consist of teaching English and other subjects and as well as to play a key role in every child’s personal development. Not only are you here to impart important life skills to help the children in Sri Lanka Villages while getting a better start in later life, but your work as a teaching volunteer will be essential to building confidence and helping young people reach their potential. Working as a teacher in another country will also help you gain invaluable work experience and as someone who cares about giving back to the world, you will meet some great friends and like-minded people along the way. Our Village teaching volunteer experience allows new teachers or career breakers to see the world with fresh eyes, improve teaching skills with new challenges, and put existing skills to the test by being placed in a completely different work environment.
